When we get a pet it is best to have it in a responsible and informed because there are certain types of animals that are more prone to certain types of diseases.
There are dogs that have very long ears, may suffer from diseases such as otitis. Because there is a lot of the same contact with the soil and tend to have large numbers of mites and bacteria that produce different types of diseases in the ears.
To detect disease in the dog’s ears, we must be very observant and pay close attention to signs that may be giving your pet. The gesture of shaking or tilting the head for a long time, it is a sign that this is suffering great pain. On the other hand, when we see that the dog stumbles or fails to maintain the balance may also be suffering from an ear infection.
To prevent or make a quick diagnosis of infections so annoying, we must revise our animal ears on a regular basis. We must make sure if you have dirt on the inside, and if they have, remove them with soap and a disinfectant. If, upon inspecting the ear does not come across dark wax, we are in the presence of an infection caused by poor hygiene and the presence of mites.
If so, it is best to go to the vet to handle it properly, since hearing is one of the most delicate parts of the body. If we take proper control of dog’s ears, we will avoid that a neglected infection becomes a body-wide infection or chronic deafness.
If we see that our animal no discomfort, but if you have that inside black wax can perform a preventive cleaning for a week, this is to remove dirt and wax with a cloth and then wash the inside of the ears with alcohol, vinegar and water, this should be applied with a cotton swab. It should be done for 2 weeks every day, until the black wax is gone. If not disappear and begin to feel pain our dog, best thing is to take him to the vet.
